Welcome to NEXT ACO of Nature Coast

An Innovative Way of Delivering Healthcare

...by a group of experienced physicians of independent practices.

NEXT ACO of Nature Coast recognizes that the healthcare delivery is changing and that traditional fee-for-service is a non-sustainable model for our constituent physicians as well as our Medicare beneficiaries. Hence we have adopted the value-based care delivery model.

What is an Accountable Care Organization?

Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) are groups of health care providers, who come together voluntarily to give coordinated high quality care to their existing Medicare beneficiaries. The goal of coordinated care is to ensure that patients, especially the chronically ill, get the right care at the right time, while avoiding unnecessary waste and duplication of services, avoiding unnecessary ER visits & hospitalizations and thereby preventing medical errors.

Accountable Care Organizations will improve coordination and communication among physicians and other providers which will help improve care and lower costs for existing Medicare beneficiaries," said Marilyn B. Tavenner, acting administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
